Arkkitehti Eliel Saarinen sisällytti suunnitelmiinsa usein näyttävän torniaiheeen. Niistä näkyvimmällä paikalla on pääkaupungin siluetista kaikille tuttu Helsingin rautatieaseman kellotorni, mutta aniharva on kiivennyt sen 250 porrasta ylös tornin huipulle ja nähnyt sieltä avautuvan maiseman. Architect Eliel Saarinen often included an imposing tower in his designs. The most prominent of these towers is the Helsinki Central Railway Station clocktower, familiar to all from the Helsinki skyline. However, few have climbed up its 250 steps to enjoy the view from the tower. In the video, architect Pirjo Huvila describes the tower’s history.
